Europe by Air said it is using Expedia as a hotel affiliate. “Continuing forward with our plans to add resources to better serve our customer’s travel needs, Europe by Air is delighted to announce its cooperation with Expedia as a hotel affiliate,” said Bill Wolf, president of EuropebyAir.

A new website, www.CancunBeachVacations.com , has launched, selling consumers with deals and information about Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel. The company also provides a comprehensive destination wedding and honeymoon program delivered by one of the top destination wedding planning teams in the business. In addition, there is a strong business focus on leisure group travel, as well as, a scuba program for new and experienced divers.

TripAdvisor is partnering with Nokia to offer an Ovi app for Nokia’s Ovi Store, and integrate the TripAdvisor service into Nokia’s Ovi Maps. The TripAdvisor for Nokia app allows travelers to search for popular hotels, restaurants and attractions in their vicinity, as well as find the cheapest airfares available.

Travelport said that United Airlines has signed a two-year extension of their current full-content agreement that is designed to provide full content well into 2013, subject to the terms of the agreement. Through the extension of the agreement, all United published fares and seat inventory, including web fares available on its own site, reservation offices and through third parties, will be available to subscribers of Travelport’s Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan GDS systems, including all Travelport-connected offline travel agencies and online agencies booking through Travelport.

Carnival Cruise Lines and Razorfish announced the launch of a new Facebook application that allows users to view, compare, select and share Carnival cruises with their friends. The application allows users to engage their social network in their vacation planning through personalized newsfeed updates and invite friends to book the same trip.

Sabre Travel Network has upgraded its collaboration portal, which combines access to business and leisure travel, meetings and expense management and social networking tools in one site. Putting travel, meetings, expense and social networking solutions in one place makes it easier for employees to be highly productive -- and as collaborative as possible with each other, Sabre said in a press release describing the improvements.

Agents who use Leisure Pops will have their applicable cruise and tour bookings automatically submitted to the WinWithAmex website. Leisure Pops is a point-of-sale tool that agents can program to “pop up” with offers that fit with the travel they’re planning for a client or with offers from preferred suppliers that agents choose.

Classic Vacations is launching a new online booking engine (OBE) today at www.classicvacations.com. The OBE will enable agents to make bookings, generate statements, make payments, create reservations and check booking status for their clients around the clock.

Peru Tourism and Export Promotion Board relaunched the Peru Travel Agent Specialist Program website with the aid of Destination Ventures, an industry training company. The site is the online portal for Peru’s specialist certification program as well as a resource for travel agents selling Peru.

KLM and iSeatz, which provides customized in-path private label travel and entertainment solutions, have enhanced the KLM website, making it the first website to utilize iSeatz’s groundbreaking In-Path Plus technology platform.
